2024 was a transformative year for Astralis AI formerly X-15, marked by a rebranding campaign,new value propositions, a broader market focus, and new strategic partnerships. The following highlights our achievements, celebrates our people, and showcases the progress that defines Astralis AI’s continued success.

Rebranding

X-15 and the Viper Platform was designed to support the US Department of Defense, the US military, and companies that support the mission critical role of national defense. The software platform is currently in use today performing national security functions for a number of agencies and institutions. As the leadership team began discussing growth strategies, we decided to rename not only X-15, but we also rebranded the product set. X-15 is now Astralis AI a word that still recognizes our roots but suggests a broader mission that also embraces our AI capabilities. Viper is now one of several functional offering within our more expansive Aries platform.

New Value Propositions

The Astralis AI platform Aries was built around Asset Configuration Management and Compliance Monitoring and still contains those features today. The platform also offers a robust but easy to install Enterprise Asset Management solution that is tightly coupled with configuration management and compliance. Aries now serves as a metadata hub that integrates with multiple data streams, (e.g. GIS, Telemetry, Security Vulnerabilities), and associates the data collected by these solutions with assets in an EAM or business automation platform such as Maximo or ServiceNow. The coupling of these software solutions allows Aries to generate work orders and trouble tickets to resolve issues with these assets down to the component level. Aries also is able to work AI engines that ingest unstructured data from technical, security, and service bulletins, to automatically generate work orders and trouble tickets to resolve any issues with assets that contain these problems.

Broader Market Focus

Astralis AI has expanded its value propositions along with the markets it supports. With expanded metadata hub capabilities of Aries, customers in the private sector are now lining up to employ our GIS, telemetry, and OT Security capabilities. Aries is able to leverage built in connectors that allow the platform to offer these functions at a fraction of the cost that other companies’ solutions and Aries is helping companies to leverage their existing EAM and Business Automation workflow engines to mitigate issues that are discovered by Aries.

New Strategic Partnerships

Astralis AI has also attracted the attention of major companies in its expansion efforts. IBM’s Innovation group and its Global OT Security team have partnered with Astralis to bring IBM’s enterprise class AI platform Watson X into the Aries solution portfolio. With Watson driving the ingestion of unstructured data, Aries is able to automate what was once a highly people intensive process that was both time consuming and fraught with errors.

Arrow Electronics’ Intelligent Solutions subsidiary is also working with Astralis to connect our Aries platform with its global network of technology partners. Arrow’s partner ecosystem has extensive experience with Operational Technology (OT) and covers a range of devices and systems, including embedded computing, sensors, operational technology cybersecurity, and industrial hardware and software.

Astralis AI has also partnered with Advanced Integrated Solutions (AIS) – a Tier 1 IBM services provider with deep skills in IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Cybersecurity with a focus on Vulnerability Remediation. AIS has extensive experience in the Power Utility and Water industry – two key industries for Astralis AI.
